Tour Description
Immerse yourself in the ancient Aboriginal culture of the Kuku Yalanji people on this exclusive tour. Join an art class at Janbal Gallery with Aboriginal artist Brian ‘Binna’ Swindley where you will learn how their stories are shared through art, as well as paint your own canvas to take home.
Learn about the ancient Aboriginal ‘highways’ that run through the region on the way to Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre; the gateway into the ancient Daintree rainforest of Mossman Gorge. Experience a traditional welcome to country smoking ceremony as you arrive before a delicious lunch.
Book either the standard tour that includes an interpretive walk through the ancient rainforest with our Adventure North Aboriginal guide, or upgrade to the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk with an Aboriginal guide from Mossman Gorge Centre.
Physical Fitness & Mobility Required
The Coach used for the Daintree Dreaming Tour has several steps on entry and passengers will board and disembark from the vehicle several times through out the day.
The guided walk at Mossman Gorge is considered easy grade and under 1 kilometer return in distance.

Travel with your Adventure North Australia Aboriginal guide to the small town of Mossman where you will visit Janbal Gallery for a 1.5 hour art class with Aboriginal artist Brian ‘Binna’ Swindley. Create an authentic Aboriginal souvenir by painting your own canvas as you learn about Aboriginal culture with Binna and how their stories and history are shared through art.
Journey to Mossman Gorge and learn about the ancient Aboriginal ‘Highways’ that run through the area, used by the ancestors. Arriving at Mossman Gorge at the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park, you are welcomed to the land with a traditional Aboriginal smoking ceremony.
Enjoy a delicious lunch infused with local flavours in the Mossman Gorge Centre at the edge of the rainforest. Also take time to explore the gallery and souvenir shop with local works and crafts.
It’s now time to explore the lush rainforest; the traditional home of the Kuku Yalanji people.

Your experienced Aboriginal Adventure North guide will take you into the rainforest of Mossman Gorge for an easy walk across boardwalks and tracks that protect the delicate ecosystem. Discover the rich flora and fauna that exist in the diverse ecosystem, as well as learn about the special relationship that exists between the Kuku Yalanji and the land.
Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk:
The Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk is led by an Aboriginal guide from the Mossman Gorge Centre on the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk. Discover the ancient truths about plants, bushfood, traditional soaps and ochre paint as you wander on private walking tracks with your Mossman Gorge Centre Aboriginal Guide.
Return to the coach for your transfer back to your accommodation after a unique day of cultural discovery.
