Day 1 Upolu Cay is a naturally formed coral cay situated 30 km’s from Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef. With Ocean Freedom’s fast catamaran you will arrive in just over an hour. Its protected shallow waters make it the perfect location from which to explore the reef, for both snorkelers and certified and introductory scuba divers. As it is a natural pontoon – the cay size and visibility is subject to conditions on the day but the clear shallow blue waters surrounding the cay (whether visible or not) are always there!
Day 2 Experience an exclusive cultural journey from coast to Rainforest to experience natural beauty and ancient culture of the Kuku Yalanji people. Walk in the steps of the ancestors… From Cooya Beach to Mossman Gorge, experience the Daintree Rainforest through the eyes of the traditional owners.

Travel with your Adventure North Australia guide to Cooya Beach (Kuyu Kuyu), the traditional hunting ground of the Kuku Yalanji. A member of the Kubirri Warra clan will introduce you to their traditional fishing and gathering techniques as you explore this coastal habitat. Any catch of crabs, mussels and fish is cooked up to share with homemade damper on the balcony of the family home.
Continuing on to Mossman Gorge at the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park, you are greeted with a traditional smoking ceremony conducted by Aboriginal people with specialised cultural knowledge to welcome people to their land. You will also have time to explore the gallery and its artworks from prominent and emerging local artists.
After lunch, wander into the lush rainforest, the traditional home of the Kuku Yalanji people. Experience one of the world's oldest and most beautiful rainforests with your Adventure North guide with an optional swim in Mossman Gorge before your day of adventure comes to an end and you are transferred to your accommodation.
Cruise in comfort and style on board this luxury cruising cat through turquoise waters to 2 destinations: 1. “Wonder Wall” on Outer edge of Upolu Reef 2 . Upolu Cay Reef The order will depend on conditions on day.
Upon arrival at our private “Wonder Wall” mooring swim, snorkel and dive (optional extra) this truly amazing location under the watchful eye of our safety conscious staff. Experience the abundant corals and sea life with an adventure drift snorkel tour with our staff’s assistance. Experience a glass bottom boat trip with our marine naturalist . During lunch cruise to our second site – the pristine and picturesque coral cay reef. Relax and unwind, lazing in the crystal clear azure shallow waters surrounding the Cay and enjoy a snorkel in the shallow waters where the “bommies” (coral outcrops) are just under the surface surrounded by sparkling white “sand” . On times where conditions are right we can land guests on the Cay but every day you can swim , snorkel the beautiful turquoise shallow waters . Or if you prefer sunbathe on the spacious comfortable deck areas or relax in the air-conditioned comfort of the saloon. Please note the order of the 2 destinations will be determined on the day depending on the conditions.
A sumptuous lunch consisting of Queensland prawns, Tasmanian smoked salmon, roast chicken, mixed meat platter, 3 fresh salad selections, assorted breads. Tropical fruit platter, cheese and crackers and cake served on cruise home.
