Day 1 Your journey begins with a 30 minute Mulgrave river cruise before the short open water crossing to the beautiful Franklin Island. Snorkel straight from the beach across a wide variety of colourful coral. Explore the island at your leisure or on a guided tour. The day is yours to enjoy.
Day 2 Experience an exclusive cultural journey from coast to Rainforest to experience natural beauty and ancient culture of the Kuku Yalanji people. Walk in the steps of the ancestors… From Cooya Beach to Mossman Gorge, experience the Daintree Rainforest through the eyes of the traditional owners.

Travel with your Adventure North Australia guide to Cooya Beach (Kuyu Kuyu), the traditional hunting ground of the Kuku Yalanji. A member of the Kubirri Warra clan will introduce you to their traditional fishing and gathering techniques as you explore this coastal habitat. Any catch of crabs, mussels and fish is cooked up to share with homemade damper on the balcony of the family home.
Continuing on to Mossman Gorge at the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park, you are greeted with a traditional smoking ceremony conducted by Aboriginal people with specialised cultural knowledge to welcome people to their land. You will also have time to explore the gallery and its artworks from prominent and emerging local artists.
After lunch, wander into the lush rainforest, the traditional home of the Kuku Yalanji people. Experience one of the world's oldest and most beautiful rainforests with your Adventure North guide with an optional swim in Mossman Gorge before your day of adventure comes to an end and you are transferred to your accommodation.
After an informative coach transfer through World Heritage rainforest mountains and fields of sugar cane. The day begins with a leisurely cruise down the magnificent Mulgrave River.
After disembarking, the day is spent snorkelling over the amazing variety of corals and marine life that inhabit the area, including an abundance of colourful fish, sea turtles and octopus
The guided “Island Discovery walk” is a must - join our marine naturalists for an informative and fascinating exploration of the island's coral cay forest, sandy beaches and the reef's nursery - the rock pools.
The day is yours to enjoy as you wish. There are some optional tours (additional cost) to enjoy - otherwise snorkel, discover and simply relax on the pristine white sand beach and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the island paradise.
After departing the island in the afternoon, tea and cake are served on board before arriving back to Cairns at approx 5 pm.
