What to bring

Day 1: You will be collected by our air-conditioned (4WD) vehicle and travel north along the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives towards the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park, crossing the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry. You will Journey through some of Mother Nature’s best work, which contains the highest number of plant and animal species in the world which are rare, or threatened by extinction but survive here in the virgin rainforests of Tropical North Queensland. A morning tea stop is at “Heritage Lodge” in Cape Tribulation of fresh home made scones, tea and coffee. Continuing north your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history of the 4WD only Bloomfield Track. This will take you through some of the most incredible scenery in Tropical North Queensland and Australia, crossing rivers and climbing mountain ranges.
We stop for lunch en-route before visiting the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (est. 1875), one of North Queensland’s oldest running bush pubs. Continue to the unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Arriving in Cooktown make sure you have your camera ready for the 360 degree panoramic views from Grassy Hill of Cooktown, the Coral Sea and the Endeavour River. Afternoon and evening at your leisure. Overnight Cooktown at the 4* Sovereign Resort.
Day 2: Free Day to explore Cooktown this afternoon before returning to Cairns or Port Douglas along the Mulligan Highway, The Outback of Far North Queensland. A meal break along the way (at your own expense) before arriving at your accommodation in Port Douglas 8.30pm or Cairns 9.30pm
