Itinerary: You will be collected by our air-conditioned four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle. Our North Queensland tours travel north along the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives towards the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. You will cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and journey through this spectacular example of Mother Nature, which contains the highest number of plant and animal species that are rare, or threatened by extinction. Your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history as you continue on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track. This 32km track will take you through some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia, crossing rivers and climbing mountain ranges. We stop for lunch at the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (est. 1875), North Queensland’s oldest running bush pub. We continue to the unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Our tours arrive in Cooktown where you will have an amazing 360 degree view from Grassy Hill. Vistas of the Coral Sea, the Endeavour River and Cooktown. Have your camera ready! Our North Queensland tours return by the inland road, the Mulligan Highway, through a diverse landscape of cattle stations, the Palmer River Goldfields where one of Australia's richest gold fields was discovered in 1872. Your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history. Morning tea stop at Cape Tribulation before we continue on the 4WD only -Bloomfield Track. This will take you through the heart of the rainforest and at times some of the most rugged terrain in Far North Queensland. Traverse river crossings and mountain ranges. Our tours stop for Lunch at the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (Est.1875) which is one of North Queensland’s oldest running bush pubs. Our tour continues to the unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Arrive in Cooktown where you will have a 360 degree view from Grassy Hill of the Endeavour River and Cooktown. Have your camera ready! Enjoy time to explore Cooktown before being transferred to Cooktown Airport. Our Drive-Fly tours fly the scenic way back to Cairns. Experience a 45 minute flight with Skytrans Airlines as you fly along the coast between the world Heritage Rainforest (which you’ve just experienced by 4WD) and the Great Barrier Reef. Overnight Cooktown Day Two: The day is free for you to explore Cooktown at your own pace. Take an optional tour of Cooktown with a local, or an optional tour with Nugal-warra Aboriginal ElderElder, Willie Gordon and visit his traditional lands and rock art sites. Visit the World Class James Cook Museum or stroll along the shores of the Endeavour River. The main street has a charming and historical atmosphere, which still prevails. You can experience the unspoilt beauty of the area, which remains much the same as when Captain Cook knew it in 1770. Late afternoon depart Cooktown via the inland road, The Mulligan Highway, traveling through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River Gold mine region, which is the Outback of Far North Queensland.

Itinerary: Day One - Cape Tribulation (Budget Tour Option) You will be collected from your accommodation for your tour to Cape Tribulation by our industry partner Jungle Tours. Travel north along one of the most scenic coastal drives in Australia to Port Douglas. Visit the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary and see the endangered cassowary and a myriad of other wildlife, including Koalas and Crocodiles. Breakfast and snacks are available for purchase. From Port Douglas drive to Mossman Gorge for a guided walk through the world Heritage Rainforest. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the many scenic spots along the way. Your tour continues along the Captain Cook Highway to the majestic Daintree River for your 1 hour river cruise.- you can spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Learn about the mangroves that line the banks, some of which reach amazing heights and learn of their importance of our ocean’s fish nurseries. Cross the Daintree River on the famous cable ferry and drive to your overnight accommodation in Cape Tribulation. Day One- Cape Tribulation (Moderate and Deluxe Tour Option) You tour today to Cape Tribulation will be in air conditioned comfort and safety with our travel partner Tropical Horizon Tours. You will discover the unique area of the World Heritage Listed rainforests of Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge. Enjoy a 1 hour cruise on the Daintree River and a sumptuous lunch at Coconut Beach Resort. Swim in the resort's pool. Travel to Cape Tribulation Beach where the reef meets the rainforest. You will be taken to your overnight accommodation to experience the world's most diverse and beautiful examples of Mother Nature. Arrive approx 3.00pm. The Remainder of the afternoon and evening is free to enjoy the magic of the rainforest.

It's time to get native as we join with Kubirri Warra brothers of Kuku Yulanji Cultural Habitat Tours. Walk with these brothers, Brandan and Linc Walker on pristine Cooya Beach 15 minutes north of Port Douglas, where you will learn how to throw a spear, hunt whilst stalking and observing wildlife and country, and how to track coastal resources through the mangroves. Learn about bush tucker and medicine as they share some of their extensive knowledge of this special area and how they care for their country. Enjoy morning tea of fresh made damper, tea/coffee as the Walker boys show and explain artifacts, tools, or even how to play a didgeredoo. We farewell the Kubirri Warra brothers as we continue north to the Daintree Village, for a 1 hour Daintree River Cruise. Enjoy delicious picnic lunch in the park before we depart for Tranquility on the Daintree, a 450 acre secluded private property where the spectacular Niau Waterfalls await.
