Our Cooktown tours travel on on the 4WD Bloomfield Track.
The Bloomfield Track in tropical North Queensland became the site of one of Australia's biggest environmental protests. It began on a small scale with locals, and then organised through state and national conservation organizations, attracting people from all parts of Australia and from all walks of life, people chained themselves to trees and buried themselves up to their necks in the ground in front of bulldozers to stop the road.
While the road did eventually go through, the protesters did get the regions recognized and in 1988 the area was declared World Heritage.
Our Cooktown tours will take you through this remote and beautiful environment in tropical North Queensland.

What our customers say
Just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed the trip....Andy was great. I loved all his miscellaneous trivia and facts. He was the most interesting Australian we met while we were in your country :)

Thank you so much for you help. This tour was a highlight of our 3 week stay in Queensland. Willie's tour was one of the best experiences I've had in 40 years of world touring. I also thought Troy was an excellent guide/driver.

I would just like to let you know how much our group enjoyed the trip to Cooktown with Troy. Everything from the vehicle, the accommodation, to the restaurant was fantastic but the "highlight" if you like, was the courier/driver. Troy was not only a walking encyclopedia but also a very funny, friendly guy and contributed immensley to our wonderful trip.
Thanks again, Best wishes, Lyn Pierce 25/4/09
I just wanted to say a big thank you for Monday's trip. The transport was fantastic, the food really good at Lion's Den and the day went very quickly.
A special mention to Troy, who was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the area and kept the day rolling smoothly.
I will definitely be recommending this trip to my guests.. Naomi Mantra Aqueous on Port 1/5/09
